  • Activated myeloid-derived suppressor cells upregulate C5AR1 expression, which plays a significant role in inhibiting T cell-related responses.
  • Increased cancer cell invasion and growth by the C5a-C5AR1 system presents an attractive target for cancer therapy.
  • Biocytogen generated a humanized B-hC5AR1 mouse model by replacing the murine C5ar1 gene with the human ortholog by homologous recombination.
  • Homozygous B-hC5AR1 mice do not exhibit changes in the overall development, differentiation or distribution of T cells, B cells, NK cells, dendritic cells, granulocytes, monocytes, macrophages, CD8+ T cells, CD4+ T cells, and Tregs.
